Oh goody, a favourite bands write in! Since you asked - and in no particular order
- I vote (I know this isn't a poll, but I can't think of a better word) for the
following;
1) Manic Street Preachers
2) Half Man Half Biscuit (still going strong)
3) That Petrol Emotion (sadly not still going strong)
4) Fugazi
5) ermmm... Rush (sorry).
Good to see another Connels fan out there.
I finally got around to listening to Illuminate the other day (Ed taped it for
me) and I kinda think it's all right. Sort of. The songs which sound like
Ghosts are really good, 'When Eno Sings, is easily the best thing on the album.
I fell in love with it as soon as I heard it. But I can't say I was totally
floored by the rest. I particularly didn't like 'Cute Submarines', and can't
see what everyone else sees in 'Surf Gear in Idaho'. I guess I'll just have to
go and listen to it lots and see if that changes my mind.
Anyway, must go,
Regards, Cliff.
