Subject: I've seen the light

I picked up my copy of Illuminate today. Damn, is it good. Its almost
an hour long - 16 songs - which makes up for four of the tracks being on the
16 Years single.

Probably the biggest departure from the last few records is the absence of
"rock" songs like Shirley McLaine, Bakersfield, YoYo, et al. (16 Years
doesn't count becasue it is very short, and its not a 'jam' song).

I'd put it somewhere between Fishcotheque and Basement, since there are
a bunch of songs on it that could have gone on each of those albums. I guess
it applies more to Basement than to Fishcotheque, since the songs are more
whimsical than the ones on Fishcotheque. But I might be wrong. I've only
listened to it once, and was so excited about it, I had to tell the world what
a fine record this is.

Anyway, its too hard for me to describe, so just go buy the damn thing.

I paid $22 for it, and I think I got my money's worth. 'Nuff said?
