Subject: Max Eider and David J
Max also appeared on the most recent David J solo album, _Urban, Urbane_.
While not as good as _Songs From Another Season_, the album does have some good
songs, such as "No Faith", and "Serial Killer Blues". Also on the album is
the song "Hogie Carmichael Never Went to New Orleans". Check out the allusion
on Pat's own "Sweet Water" (from _Love Bus_): "...Hogie Carmichal never came
here, Dave." (BTW, Carmichael wrote the Jazz standard recently masacred by
Michael Bolan (sp? who cares?) "Georgia On My mind"--I looked it up).
Anyway, Eider's guitar playing greatly adds to both _Another Season_ and
_Urbane_. Incidently, for all those Bauhaus fans out there, _Urbane_ also
has a song on which Peter Murphy sings back up ("Candy on the Cross",
unfortunately one of the album's most disappointing tracks). To my knowledge,
this is the first time that David J and Murphy worked together since Bauhaus
broke up.
