I certainly do hope that I am not the only one lucky enough to have a
copy of this, one of my absolute favorites. "Best Kisser in the World"
was released on CD in the US on Big Time records (6046-2-B) before the label
went away. I don't believe that it was ever picked up by another label,
unfortunately. "Raking Up the Leaves" is but one standout. I don't
believe that Big Time ever released a CD version of "Bloody Nonsense."
Just imagine if they did!
While we're on the subject of Maximilian, is anyone aware of other albums
he may have turned up on, other than the first David J? I recently heard
a song by Kendra Smith called "She Brings the Rain" which sounds to me
like our old friend Max is playing on. Any other albums besides "Kisser?"
I'll throw another one in. Does anyone else enjoy John A. Rivers'
production work with other groups as well? I'm quite fond of "Foxheads
Stalk this Land" and "What is There to Smile About" by the Close
Lobsters to name one.
Looking forward to hearing "Illuminate." Now, if I could only find "Big
Questions" and "The Gift of Music" on CD.
