In defense of the participants of that discussion; of which I was, unashamedly, one; it primarily centered around the question: "What are the qualifications of and what exactly does anybody know about this individual who offered to accept a not insubstantial sum of money for the service of shooting the show."

That may have spurred, in turn, some discussion of how we might be able maximize the quality of this opportunity; but I don't recall feeling like anyone was whining about it or making demands.
