i can only imagine the reax if i went on there & let it be known (quite truthfully) that i prefer the 2 post-shane albums, esp. waiting for herb, to anything they did with him. of course, to be fair, i also prefer the first popes album to anything he did with the pogues, too.
While Pat's overall body of work puts him at the

i can certainly go with the pastels (though my favorite song by them remains crawl babies off up for a bit) & jamc in that equation ... i do regard the jbc as more of a "songs" band than an "album" band -- hardly a criticism.
