I think everyone should lay off David for being the messenger. He's expressing Pat's wishes to the group. He runs the list. His request was that the subject not be discussed on the list. If you want to take it offline, do so knowing it's not what Pat wants.

The offer to make copies was well-intentioned - it was meant as a charitable act to the fans, who can make the ethical choice between their own wants and the wants of the artist ...
