Subject: THE JAZZ BUTCHER
Great mailing list guys! I have been a fan of the JBC for about 5 years now, as
he used to regularly visit a radio show which I myself visited in the UK called
"Boothby Graffoe Live" on BBC Radio Lincolnshire which ran for a couple of years
until 1990. The JBCs music was pretty much the stable part of the show - and
such records as Caroline Wheeler and Excellent, with perhaps a dash of Shes on
Drugs, seemed the most popular. I have an "interview" with the Fishman himself
which I will transcribe and stick on here at some point, as well as a great
story which surrounds him and a man known only as Sydney "Partial Trouser"
Meats, and a night of ringing up a certain person involved in a church, a Bishop
no less, and shouting "F I S H" very loudly down the phone. This man obviously
was not a fan.
May the JBC continue, and lets get the re-release of Cult of the Basement and
Scandal in Bohemia as quickly as possible!

PS There is also the story of the fish shop, Lincoln, and before The Barbican
gig in 1994.
