Subject: Old Snakey Lyric

took note of the fact that "Old Snakey" ain't been transcribed, so's I
thought I'd give it a go.

Old Snakey....
The unbelievable is always with us,
Luring us in glass doors to our doom
Old Snakey spent some time down in ancient Egypt
And now he's fiddling with his papers, ain't got no time
* for his visitors...

We know what they left in Snakey's room (x2)

Now Snakey's where he is when we last saw him.
That is to say he's fastened to his bed.
Snakey's glad he's climbing up the wardrobe.
Ooh-Snakey would most readily be anywhere instead.

Something that Old Snakey saw a long, long tima ago
* Won't leave him alone...

Patients all fall silent.
Snakey's lived here years but right now this is something new.
Snakeys having trouble with his favorite statuette,
And there's something that's in charge of it-ain't
* Finished with it yet
I said that
We all know that spirits can be dangerous.
Meanwhile a shadow of a snake climbs up the wall.
Sometimes your English language is not adequate at all-
It's a shadow of a snake-
( ? ) !

We know what they left in Snakey's room (x2)

Something that old Snakey saw a long, long time ago
* Won't leave him alone (x2)
Someone that Old Snakey met a long, long time ago
* Won't leave him alone.
Someone that Old Snakey met four thousand years ago
* Won't leave him alone.
Snakey.....
(screams)
*

* Roughly,
* Brian Kelly
