Sorry, I obviously don't know how to spell George's last name. :)
Anyway, I picked up a copy of Illuminate on vinyl for another list member, who
graciously allowed me to take a listen and copy it before I mailed it (don't be
alarmed, everyone, I still intend to purchase the CD whenever one shows up in
this hemisphere). One interesting item I noticed on the LP itself was the inner
rim scratch. You know, the "writing" or "scrawling" that the artist usually
pens into the vinyl on an album's inner rim. Well, on Side A, it said "Move
over real dog..." and Side B said "...this fake dog is movin' in". (Correct me
if I erred, Bob).
Any insight as to Pat's intentions? Is Pat a fan of George and the Destroyers,
or just this song?
In addition, the album does *not* include three songs that are on the CD (Surf
Gear in Idaho, Waiting for Sumo and Truck of Fear), the same three songs that
are on the Sixteen Years CD single (besides Sixteen Years). Guess that answers
the question of why the CD single has no "additional songs" that are also on the
CD.
