* Nick is a pretty special performer.

* Though in those days he was a lot more extreme than he is now - a
crazed junkie in a frenzy of self-loathing, fronting a really unique band,
with lots of fearsome noise, atonalism, interesting rhythms, interesting
instrumentation, etc. I love 'em, but not to everyones taste, and not
something I would have associated with the JBC.

* These days he is a lot more retrained - still often very dark, but
much more conventionally palatable musically and much more sedate
personally. He is definately a great singer and songwriter still, though.

>One personal favourite of Nick's Albums for me is 'Henry's
>Dream'.

* Yes, one of mine as well. Quite a good place to start listening as
well. That and I am particularly fond of the song 'Brother, my cup is
empty' as a good drinking song (not as classic a song as 'Drink', of
course, which is probably my favourite beer anthem. 'Brother' is much
rowdier, though).

* Cheers

* David
