Subject: Truck of Fear - lyrics! and introduction
Hi John, and welcome to the list!
It's always nice to find another list member loonie enough to type up
lyrics. I did Truck of Fear and Old Snakey myself, but I've been
slow doing anything with them...
Okay, pedant mode: I think at the beginning of line 3, verse 1, Pat
sings "And never saw him..." instead of "You never saw him..." - "You"
doesn't fit the context.
I got the bit you couldn't at least mostly. If anyone can make out what
comes after "angel", I'd be profoundly grateful. :)
I think this one takes over from The JB -vs- Count Dracula as best JBC
Hallowe'en song. Anyone got an empty chassis they can spare next
October for my costume? :)
Chris
My take on that verse:
And he was singing "I drive the roads that are closed by the angel ?
I know the paths of the lonesome highway doomed
Shot my boss, killed his dog, left his children in the street
And now I ride, ride, ride the truck of fear
When the doomed go shopping, boy, there ain't no stopping
We're just happy to be here"
