Subject: The Triffids & David McComb

The Triffs have released several albums apart from Calenture, the last new one
being in 1989/90. It was called Black Swan and frankly was not very good. The good news is
that Mushroom records of Australia are releasing the old LPs on CD even as we
speak, and a compilation CD (the name of which I forget) was released last
year.

David McComb, front man for the Triffs, has begun a solo career since the
demise of the group. He released a quasi-disco track 'The Message' about 4
years ago as a 12" single on Foundation Records, which had a much better b-side
(Song of No Return) and last year, also on Mushroom records, released the
album, "Love of Will" which is absolutely ace, and I can't get it out of my
head, even after 3 months of owning the thing. I'd recommend it to anyone,
especially if they're into the Lloyd Cole non-Commotions LPs.

I suspect Ed will be able to supply more info, if someone else doesn't beat him
to it.

Regards, Cliff.
