I was just thinking on my way to work about this, and I had to laugh.
The reviewer complained about the way Pat writes "80's style" songs, rather
than that of the "eclectic 90's". (Eclectic 90s? Yeah RIGHT!) Maybe he
did exactly what the media has always been doing: looking for something new
and ignoring what is actually good. What a laugh.
