Sorry, this really doesn't have a whole lot to do with anything
anybody's been talking about lately, but I wanted to share something
I read last night with everyone. I printed out a funny story called
Winnie The Goth, a gothic version of Winnie The Pooh. In one section of
the story, Winnie gets caught in FuzzyDevilBunny's front door and FDB
and Christopher Sexbat decide that Winnie will probably have to stay
there:
"You mean I'd NEVER get out?" said the Goth.
"I mean, said FuzzyDevilBunny, "that you'd be stuck
listening to Tones On Tail, the Jazz Butcher, and assorted Bauhaus
solo projects for the next decade, as that's all I have."
I've never really thought of Pat's stuff as being a direct branch off
of the Bauhaus tree, because it really doesn't have much to do with
it outside of the J./Haskins connection. It's certainly not as big a
connection as say, Tones On Tail or Dalis Car. Still, I found it to
be quite funny that the JBC should even be mentioned in a Perkygoff
story along with all the other Bauhaus references (and there are
quite a few throughout the story). It even says something about
Winnie-the-Goth doing David J. impersonations; how one goes about
that is beyond me--perhaps standing around in a suit and Ray-Bans and
looking bored? :)
