construed as derogatory pertaining to Mr. Pynchon. After
all, he may well be lurking among us. . . .
Seriously: _Gravity's_Rainbow_ is the man's masterpiece.
_Vineland_ is probably his most accessable. Some think
he's the US's greatest 20th-Century literary figure.
Others don't.
