The JBC influence..

Darren 's comments got me to thinking about all the things that Pat's turned me on to.
Now, I know this is odd...but I wasn't exposed to alternative music before someone introduced me to the JBC. So it was through the Butcher that I learned of Love & Rockets (a bit backwards, I know.) So...the litany of things that I have discovered through Pat:
Love & Rockets, Bauhaus, The Velvet Underground, Spacemen 3, the Blue Aeroplanes, Johnathan Richman, Kevin Ayers, the Perfect Disaster, Father Ted (Irish sitcom, which, if you've not seen...do seek it out), Lou Reed, John Cale, the Woodentops, Downy Mildew, Harlan Ellison...the list goes on and on. I am in Dublin at the moment, and picked up a novel by Flann O'Brien. Just started it, but I suspect it'll make the list as well.
