RE: [JBC] - video opportunity - but it will cost..

I too would like to get in on the project. As others have pondered, I would
hope it would be a soundboard audio. I am a little concerned that all of
this banter is going on without Pat's involvement. I am not saying he needs
to be pro-active but that he has given some tacit approval.
I have a Digital 8 video camera, a firewire port on my computer and video editing software. I can transfer any Digital 8 or Hi-8 tape to my computer. I have already used it to convert about 9 hours of old 8MM movies to video, add narration and titles and transfer it back to video. I would be happy to do free editing of such a video if the video guy does not do any editing himself (but I assume he does). I am fairly adept at doing audio on the computer, I have had some college recording and TV courses and did some stringer work for WWNY 15 years ago.
I hope to purchase a DVD burner sometime this year although I would be hard pressed to burn a video for everyone on the list as it would probably ware out the drive in one shot. Nevertheless, with Pat's approval, I would be happy do what I can either by sending some $ to the video fund or taking an active part in producing it. I live in NY so I won't be going to the Troubadour this time although I did go last time :)
My 3 cents,
- Robert.
PS: What ever happened to the Wetlands video/audio???
