Re: JBC SEATTLE SUMMARY

Yes, a great show despite the drunken, ice-throwing "fans". When Max and Pat
took the stage together, I just started grinning like an idiot. It was just
so great to see and hear them perform together. They played a terrific
collection of songs and I got to hear Max's new one for the first time and
it was excellent. I think the set was fairly similar to what was peformed in
Portland.
Nicole and I met Jason, Leisa and Paul who had travelled up from Portland so they could see the show twice. Jason and I got a soundboard tape of the show which I currently have in my possession. On playing it back, it does has a bit of distortion due to level saturation, but it is still quite listenable. That said, I suspect Jason's tape of the Portland show may be superior in terms of sound quality. I plan to burn the (Seattle) show to CD sometime in the next few days for archival purposes.
We hung around for 15 or 20 minutes after the show and eventually Max and Owen came out in the bar area followed shortly by Pat. Gushing praise was delivered, hands shaken, and signatures procured. What great down-to-earth people these guys are! Pat said they had really been enjoying this short tour. I think Nicole now has a slight crush on Pat (oops...probably shouldn't have said that).
Sounds like they are heading back down to LA, then over to New York, and then back home. Hopefully this reunion tour will lead to a new studio album or two. Dare we hope.
