recording seattle show?

I thought i might as well ask: what is the band's stance on show recording? Ideally, I would love to get a soundboard recording of the Seattle show on minidisc and then burn it to CD but I'm sure doing such a thing would require permission of the band (and the venue). I would not use the recording for commercial purposes...just for enjoyment of JBC fans. Any chance of doing such a thing? Has anyone done this in the past? (Is Pat checking in on this list during the tour?)
