This last bit is absolutely on target! The thing I fear most is that Pat
and Co. will get some "new and improved" record deal that will only
serve to limit future distribution of new releases the way distribution
of the back catalog is now limited.
There are so many ways this could be done. Lately I've kind of been thinking that artists like the JBC could make a go of it selling e-mail subscriptions to a "song of the month" club. Think of it, a new JBC recording in your in-box each and every month. How much would the rest of you pay for such a service?
