Exclusive compilation contributions by The Jazz Butcher

Hello folks,

this might have been discussed in the early years of this forum, but unfortunately the otherwise excellent website doesn't entirely cover the compilation contributions which were either unissued at the time of release or remained exclusive ever after. I'm aware of the following additions as regards the Glass Records Years ...

Nikki Sudden - Missionary Boy
The Jazz Butcher - Chinese Envoy (John Cale) Sad Go Round - Elephant Flowers

The Jazz Butcher cover version is unavailable elsewhere. Interestingly enough, the same must be said about the other contributions ... The Rag Dolls were an early and short-living band of Dave Kusworth (Jacobites), "Missionary Boy" features Nikki Sudden himself on vocals (and is therefore better than the version that appears on _The Bible Belt_ LP with Lizard on vocals) while Sad Go Round was The Swell Maps (!) in disguise. Obviously essential, this highly sought after split single came with a fanzine.

The Jazz Butcher & Max Eider - Olof Palme

The Jazz Butcher contribution coincided with the release of _The Gift Of Music_ LP. Here again, this compilation-tape came with a fanzine and was also available as a limited package with the "Uncle Arthur's Pop Parlour" compilation-tape in addition.

The Jazz Butcher contribution subsequently appeared as an additional track on _The Gift Of Music_ CD (only).

The Jazz Butcher - City Of Night

The Jazz Butcher contribution subsequently appeared on the _Big Questions_ LP/CD. Having said that, this album also includes an early studio version of "Leaving It Up To You" by Max Eider with The Jazz Butcher on guitar as well as "Fear (Is A Man's Best Friend)" by David J and a different version of "2:35" by Spacemen 3 amongst others.

I'd be interested in whether there were other unissued / exclusive compilation contributions during the Glass Records Years, save "Leaving It Up To You" (live) from the Abstract # 5 LP featured on the website.

Anyway, here comes the funny part ... the three vinyl releases mentioned above have now been added to my auction, the copy of the _50,000 Glass Fans Can't Be Wrong_ LP is naturally the limited edition on clear vinyl.
