David - I'm not sure you answered the question which was are Sonic Boom and Spectrum related. Easy to get mixed up as Sonic has been in so many "S" bands, Spacemen 3, Spectrum, and now (I think) Spiritualized. Sonic Boom was part of Spectrum. Spectrum is interesting to listen to, some songs more so than others. A lot of their stuff is electronic experimentation as far I can figure.

Spiritualized is much in the same vein as Spectrum, lots of electronics and feedback and reverb and effects. If you have seen the commercial for the new VW Beetle you have heard Spiritualized. The song (and album) is called "Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space." Pretty good song and the album is worth a listen if you've got the money.

By the way, check out the web page (although I don't think it's been updated in a while) at http://www.spiritualized.com and check out the Who Is this man? section. I am almost willing to bet that it is our friend the one and only Butcher himself, Pat Fish. Maybe someone going to the show in Atlanta could print it out and have the man confirm or deny my allegations.

Back to work.
