Distresses Gentlefolk -Glass/CD "Auction"
Date: Mon 05 Jan 1998 - 14:39:29 PST
I found a copy of Distressed Gentlefolk on CD - UK/Glass version containing:
Falling in Love
Big Bad Ting
Still in THe Kitchen
Hungarian Love Song
The New World
South America
Who Loves You Now?
Domestic Animal
Buffalo Shame
Nothing Special
Angels
I Paid $15.00+tax for it. It's still shrinkwrapped. I'm trying to think of an equitable way to sell it without undue competition or exploitation - Here is what I came up with:
*I'm asking $20.00 to cover CD, tax, postage and an $.85 finder's fee.
*I will let it go for $15.00 if you can trade a tape of Bath of Bacon, Sex &
Travel, JB -v- Max Eider, and/or Hamburg.
*If you live in the UK, instead of dealing with exchange rates, I will trade it
for any of the above titles on CD - or the Blue Aeroplanes "Fruit" CD or the
Sumosonic CD (is it out yet?)
*If you want to increase your odds of getting the CD, you may offer more money,
better trades, etc...(you may also submit a 100-word-or-less essay on why you
think you deserve said CD - who knows, it could work.) I don't necessarily want
to sell it to the person who responds first or the person who offers the most
money.
I found it in a chain store - old stock...The price that was covered-up was $12.99 - I was pissed when I saw that they had marked it up, but I didn't notice until I got home. Still, $15.00 is a bit of alright.
I'll take offers until Wednesday evening...
Thanks.
Dave
