Last call for any JBC-related tips for my trip to England tomorrow. I'm visiting for a week from the states and would love non-tourist advice from like minded folk. And does anyone know what David Barker (Glass Records) is up to nowadays? I was once friends with him but have lost touch.

I'll be in London for the weekend, then spending Monday night watching the Orlando Magic like an ugly American with fellow travelers, and then heading up to Northampton to visit a Reasonable friend for a few days. Then probably back to London.

Even the name of a decent pub or two in London would be appreciated. Record stores with collectibles would be loved. Most appreciated would be the name/location of a decent and cheap hotel in London (south ken area?) for the second half of my visit (the firm is picking up the first few days).
