Right, this is the Bishop logging in one more time. . .I have been trying to speak to you guys
for a
while, but my messages keep being returned to me in fits of unaccountable technononsense.
So I'll spend a couple of minutes typing this cak out, and hope that, this time, it gets through.

THE NAME
The proposed name is not Sonic Sumo, but the altogether more inviting Sumosonic. If Botty
(owner of Sumo, ersatz producer of new album, and leader of a N'pton band called Masonic)
says
it's okay, then that will almost certainly be that. We like it. . . besides, have any of you lot
ever
stopped to consider what a DREADFUL name "The Beatles" is? Never did them any harm
(unlike
me, should I ever catch up with the cunts).

SEPTOCENTRIC NEWS
"Come, Friendly Spacemen" (the tune which will become the first single) is, apparently, being
played by Ms. D. O'Donoghue out West, and she has distributed copies to enthusiastic radio
stations in New York and Chicago. God knows who they're saying it's by. Some record company in New York is currently in negotiations to officially release
"Illuminate"
stateside, but they want to put out some compilation first. They sound, bizarrely, right on the
money. The farewell U.S. tour may happen yet. . . although the new thing might end up rather
more importunate (not to mention better).

MISCELLANEOUS CAK
The record's just about finished, although it'll probably go through a lengthy remixing process
before it gets released. It's really rather splendid, and worth waiting for, I promise. . . we
THOUGHT we were making jungle-soul-rock, but I doubt anyone else will ever see it that way.
Release news as it comes up.
Mat's left the Tractors. Big on-stage bust-up at the Racehorse. Apparently quite amusing,
although I wasn't present.
We like Animals That Swim - their records are a bit shite, but they're such sweeties.
THE BLACK EG really are East-European techno pals of ours. Pat was responsible for the
sleeve notes on the record (see also some Richman rerelease or other). There's a very
amusing story about his first encounter with them, but it's HIS story, so I won' tell it. We don't
mind them pilfering samples from us. . . would you say no to Karel Von Daemmerung?

Can't be bothered to write any more - after all, I don't know whether it's gonna get through.
